Support

The pupil premium is an allocation of additional funding provided to schools to support specific groups of children who are vulnerable to possible underachievement.

In order to raise the attainment for pupil premium we as a school ensure:

·         All staff are aware of children who are vulnerable;

·         Vulnerable children’s progress is monitored;

·         The right provision is in place in order for children to make progress;

·         We engage with parents to share information about their children’s progress

·         We aim to provide staff with appropriate training.

In order to achieve the above the school has:

·         Employed an Inclusion Manager  and Learning Mentor

·         Provided booster classes in Year 2

·         Provided 1:1 tuition for targeted children

·         Additional Teaching Assistant support in classrooms

·         Has begun to implement the Achievement for All project

·         Provided After School Clubs

·         Subsidised school trips including residentials

·         Subsidised teaching of musical instruments  and swimming lessons for Y4

·         Provision of a pupil progress tracker to monitor pupil’s progress

The impact of this support has resulted in:

·         The learning and emotional needs and progress of vulnerable children are being closely monitored, and appropriate action and support is being provided.

·         Pupils are being provided with a wide range of opportunities and experiences to enhance their education and development.

·         Access to a range of resources which help monitor individual pupil progress.
